Its been a busy busy busy month with lots of wedding assignments. So, for this blog entry, we would like to share something different. ย We’ve been always looking forward to capture different culture’s wedding and finally we are honored and happy to be part of Jayesh and Alicia’s big day.

Here are some highlights for the day.

Wahh, its been ages since I last posted my blog entry. Some of you may have wonder where have I been, and hasnt been putting up any new posts. Well, we’ve been so tied up with work and lots of travels till I haven’t really get the time to post something up here. But we’ve been only manage to find time to update our facebook page.

Anyway, for this blog post, I’d like to share something different, something we’ve been really excited until today, we did our first destination pre-wedding to Melbourne with our lovely couple Kah Wha & Hoi Fhoon. Both of them are a pair of lovely couple. The groom Kah Wha, down to earth and sporting, while the bride Hoi Fhoon is fun and funny. We spent 2 days shooting around Melbourne, I must say I’ve really enjoyed the session with them.

Without further ado, let me share some highlights of our Melbourne pre-wedding work. ๐Ÿ™‚

kc - i somehow like to loose hairs ๐Ÿ˜›

Finally i found some time to slot in a little update to my little space here despite the hectic month filled with so many wedding assignments. For this post, its specially dedicated to one of the few interesting wedding assignments i did for a dear friend whom we shot their pre-wedding back in March in Bali, do check out their pre-wedding shots here.

Time really flies, we had so much fun capturing their pre-wedding shots in bali, I can still remember we were talking about how far away is the wedding day, then we parted our own ways back to our country until September, we flew over to melbourne to capture their beautiful moments of their big day.

They had planned the wedding in a garden in the centre of the busy city of melbourne, its call the fritzroy Garden. The weather in Melbourne was unpredictable, you get showers, cloudy, sunny in one day. So, we’ve prayed really hard and hope for the weather to be good throughout the ceremony. Thank God it turned out well. The sun had smile upon us and allowed the ceremony to carry on smoothly in the beautiful Fitzroy Garden.

Anyway, without further ado, I would like to share some of the highlight shots of the day. Would also like to take this opportunity to wish both of them a happy blessed marriage together.

For more shots, kindly view the slideshow below. ๐Ÿ™‚

September is not just the hottest month for wedding celebration, it is also a significant month for us in Victor Hew Photography(VHP). Time really flies when you’re having the time of your life, this month will be the anniversary month that I quit intel and hop on to my photography journey as a full timer. I can still recall that day I packed my cubicle stuff and carried my boxes out of the office heavy heartedly. It wasn’t the job that I missed, it was the people. Yes, the people of Intel, my colleagues especially whom I’ve got so used to having lunch with and gossiping almost about everything from office politics to sports cars.

Looking back, it has been a really really exciting year, thanks to all who had supported us throughout the year, we really appreciate all your thoughts, feedbacks, compliments, and support which had much contributed to our growth in this industry.

Lets turn back the clock and have a look at some of the significant occasions throughout

Our first official assignment as a professional photographer

Jesamine & Linus – They should be celebrating anniversary this month too! Happy anniversary!

a very special moment from David and Ashley‘s wedding, all the way from australia

How could i forget this lovely portraiture shot done in front of QEII on Wei Liang & Janice’s wedding

Then we had an exciting time in Creative Asia conference. Attended professional workshop conducted by Michael Greenberg, an awesome photographer from Phototerra Studio, Canada.

Here is the man

Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration Michael!

I love this flare from Erik & Irene‘s big day

A daring portraiture which I REALLY REALLY love. Captured on Eugene and Seok Huey‘s wedding back in February.

Moving on is one of our very first destination pre-wedding in March! Bali! Another exciting time in which I had really enjoyed myself doing portraiture work away from home with Ronald & Felicity. All the plannings, bookings, locations were pretty challenging, but it was all worth it! We would love to go back there someday for another session.

Then we had our first time shooting an actual day in Sandakan for Kian How & Jessica‘s big day

I shoot lots of chinese custom weddings, so generally we have lots funny gatecrashing games, this is one of the toughest and funniest! Lol, i blurred the faces out to keep these brave brothers some personal privacy. ย But from this shot, you could imagine how crazy it was that day! haha ๐Ÿ™‚ There are reasons why i never showed these photos on facebook or my blog. ๐Ÿ˜€

Our first time shooting in Suffolk’s house for Jean & Kazuma

And then another travelling actual wedding day in Singapore! Shooting an actual wedding day in Sheraton singapore, I absolutely love this shot!

oh, not to forgot Daniel & Hui Moon’s church wedding in Kuala Lumpur, I love one of the portraiture we did there too! check it out

Our Recent Portraiture work in B/W which i’m so in love with, it looked like a classic english street

One of the most fun wedding i’ve ever shot, groom dressed up as Elvis in Adrian & Maria‘s wedding in cheong fatt tze penang!

and he sings too!

They had a really interesting church celebration too, rice throwing!

Of course, there are many many more awesome shots and many many more wedding in which we had really really enjoyed shooting. These are the few random shots we cherry picked for a quick sharing ย of our year’s journey. Hope you enjoyed it.

Though we’ve been around for 4 years, we still consider this our first year as a professionals. Special thanks to Wan Ching who had been by my side throughout this exciting year providing lots of encouragement and “nagging”. Thank you wan ching.

As of now, we look forward to yet another exciting year ahead, a year in which we will look for ways to be better and bigger to bring you the best from us. Creating sweet memories for you to keep.

Last but not least, a portrait of me and wan ching. ๐Ÿ™‚
